COURSE OBJECTIVES
It is essential for anyone involved in negotiating or managing contracts to have an understanding of the key terms that are needed in order to achieve the commercial objectives of the deal. It is, of course, important to understand the deal from the outset and the rationale for entering into the contract. It is then crucial that you identify and mitigate any areas of risk and liability. You should focus on the key provisions such as scope and responsibility and ensure that you understand what the consequences are should the other side or you not perform the contract in accordance with its terms. Managing is contract is important. Are you certain that you are performing the contract and have systems in place to identify problems and instances of poor or non-performance by the other side? What provisions should be included in the contract to help ensure compliance with its terms? And how does the contract provide for change management? You will identify the danger areas where a failure to act when faces with a variation in performance could have significant consequences. We will also have time for questions and discussion to ensure that any particular issues and queries that you may have, and that may be specific for your industry, are addressed. BOOKING AND DATES
